Stage 1: Arrival in LipariLipari

Your journey to the Aeolian Islands begins with your arrival in Lipari, the largest and most populated of the islands. You can reach Lipari from Naples, Milazzo or Messina by ferry. Once on the island, check into one of the charming hotels or holiday rentals, then set off to explore the town. You’ll find winding lanes, craft shops and delicious restaurants, and if you take the time to visit the castle that dominates the town or take in the view from the Quattrocchi belvedere, you won’t be disappointed!

Stage 2: Excursion to Vulcanovulcano

Your second stop will take you to the island of Vulcano, just a short ferry ride from Lipari. Vulcano is famous for its natural hot springs, creating fantastic backdrops ideal for relaxing and taking an invigorating bath. You can also hike to the top of the volcano for breathtaking views of the surrounding islands. Be sure to try the local speciality, ‘pizza al metro’, in one of the island’s restaurants.

Stage 3: Exploring Salinasalina

After Vulcano, head for Salina, the lush green island of the Aeolian Islands. Salina is renowned for its vineyards, where the famous malvasia wine is produced. Take advantage of this stopover to taste this sweet wine while relaxing on the black sandy beaches. If you’re a keen hiker, a climb up Mount Fossa delle Felci is a must for breathtaking panoramas.

Stage 4: Adventure at StromboliStromboli

Your fourth stage takes you to Stromboli, the island of continuous volcanic activity. Take a boat trip to see the regular eruptions of the Stromboli volcano, a truly unique experience. In the evening, night-time ascents to the top of the volcano offer an incredible view of the eruptions under the starry sky.

Stage 5: Relaxation in PanareaPanarea

After the excitement of Stromboli, it’s time to relax on Panarea, the glamorous Aeolian island. Panarea is renowned for its secluded beaches, crystal-clear waters and designer boutiques. It’s the perfect place to laze on the beach, watch the marine life with a mask or enjoy fresh seafood in one of the chic restaurants.

Stage 6: The charm of Filicudi and AlicudiFilicudi

Let’s round off this trip by exploring Filicudi and Alicudi, the most remote islands in the chain. These small, unspoilt islands offer a peaceful atmosphere and a real return to nature. Enjoy the tranquillity, hiking and diving in crystal-clear waters.
