Visiting Futuroscope in 1 or 2 days: tips and advice!
The park is one of the most popular in France, and with good reason! Since it opened in 1987, Futuroscope has been constantly innovating and pushing back the boundaries of the extraordinary!
It’s a completely mad gamble, designed to revitalise a rural département including the town of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, and it’s been an incredible success, with over 50 million visitors since its inauguration!
So make sure you prepare well for your visit to this city of the future, because you won’t be the only ones making the trip for a weekend or more! This is something you’ll see as soon as you enter the park, and visiting Futuroscope in 1 day is something you need to prepare for.
Anticipating your visit to Futuroscope
This may seem obvious to you if you’re the forward-thinking type, but given the long queues at the entrance desks, many people buy their tickets once they’re there.
When you know your dates, book your tickets directly online on the Futuroscope park website! This will give you a better overview of the different options on offer and allow you to get in without having to queue. You can also book an open date ticket for an extra €10.
How long does it take to visit the park?
- 1 DAY: If you only have one day to devote to visiting Futuroscope, don’t panic, you’ve already got plenty of time to make the most of it. In one day, you can do your favourite attractions (especially if you follow all our advice!) and maybe even repeat one or two of them.
- 2 DAYS: If you have young children and want to visit the park at a more leisurely pace, taking your time to eat, shop and so on. In other words, you don’t want to rush around (after all, it’s the holidays), then opt for a visit spread over 2 days and 1 night. Especially as the evening show is quite late.
- 3 DAYS: Spending 3 days and 2 nights at the Futuroscope will really be reserved for absolute fans, the rest of you will certainly find that it’s getting to be a lot!
Which ticket should I choose to visit Futuroscope?

Once you’re on the site, you can choose from the various offers available using a search engine in which you enter your dates, the number of people and the number of nights you want. You can choose to buy just the tickets if you want to visit the Futuroscope in 1 day, or to buy a combination of tickets and hotel.
The price of the ticket varies according to the day you select, and will tell you which night show is available that evening.
Once this stage has been validated, you will be offered two passes with different prices that give you certain advantages:
- PREMIUM + PASS: from €40 / Pass / day
The Premium Pass + gives you priority access to 5 attractions of your choice + 10% discount in partner shops (with the exception of souvenir photos). - GOLD PASS: from €99 / Pass / day
The Gold Pass gives you unlimited priority access to all Futuroscope attractions and 1 priority access to 3 Futuropolis activities + free park car park and 15% discount in partner shops (excluding souvenir photos).
You can then add restaurant bookings, either at “La Table d’Arthur” buffet, close to the Arthur, l’aventure 4D attraction, or at the “SpaceLoop Restaurant” where your food arrives in front of you at full speed as you glide along on a rollercoaster to enjoy new experiences. Halfway between a sushi train and a roller coaster! Gourmet Tickets are also available and valid in all the park’s restaurants.
Other options are also available, such as the addition of the “Zero Gravity” experience, for a free-fall experience or a behind-the-scenes tour of the park, 45 minutes before it opens!
Which hotels to stay in at Futuroscope?

The park offers a choice of 11 hotels where you can spend the night. The easiest way is to book your accommodation when you pick up your tickets, but you can also do so later by choosing the “I already have my tickets” option.
There is only one hotel actually on site, with a connecting walkway. This is the Futuroscope apartment hotel. It’s the most practical, but books up quickly.
The others are a little further away, but can be reached on foot in around 10 minutes in secure pedestrian zones. You’ll find all the major hotel chains here.
New for 2022: the Station Cosmo hotel **** offers you the experience of sleeping in a real space station!
New for July 2023: The Village Écolodgee welcomes you just a stone’s throw from Futuroscope in a protected natural setting, in huts on the water’s edge! After the day’s shows, watch Mother Nature live from your terrace!

Travel out of season
Generally speaking, being flexible pays off! If you can, don’t hesitate to plan your visit outside school holidays and, if possible, during the week! You’ll have the Futuroscope almost to yourself!
What’s more, the park regularly offers promotions to attract visitors all year round, with attractive rates in low season!
The coupe fil pass gives you access to all the attractions without waiting (extra charge of €40 to €400 at the top end of the market).
Think about applications
Yes, today’s world is full of applications that support us on a daily basis. There are two that will really come in handy at Futuroscope!
1. LINEBERTY :
Your new best friend is called Lineberty. She’ll put you virtually in a queue and warn you when it’s your turn to go through while you’re visiting the Futuroscope. A special access is set up, where you will enter almost directly.
It’s valid in many shops in France and on certain Futuroscope attractions! These include: La Vienne Dynamique, L’Extraordinaire Voyage, Sébastien Loeb Racing Xperience and La Machine à Voyager dans le Temps. See you on Lineberty!
2. THE FUTUROSCOPE APP :
The park also has its own app! It calculates waiting times for the various attractions and lets you see a map of the park, find toilets, picnic tables and restaurants, for example, or calculate the route to your next attraction.
Take life in the wrong direction
When you’re going to a highly touristy place, it’s best not to do what everyone else is doing. Here are a few tips for escaping the crowds.
- Get up early!
- Arrive at the secondary entrance at the back of the park (the TGV footbridge from the station) for direct access to the park.
- Start with the attractions at the back and work your way around.
- Plan your route through the park in advance (it’s big!).
- Eat late and take advantage of the shorter queues between midday and two o’clock.
- Exit through the main entrance.
