Mozarthaus

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Vienna, The Empress of Austria
In front of you stands Mozart’s old house, now a museum. The composer lived in about a dozen different houses in Vienna, but this is the only one to be preserved and turned into a museum. In the 17th century, it only had 2 floors, but it was later expanded in 1716. Mozart rented an apartment here from 1784 to 1787. Although 3 years may not seem like a long time, this is where he stayed the longest, and where he was the happiest. He lived in an elegant apartment on the first floor, with 4 large rooms, 2 smaller living rooms, and a kitchen. By then, he was already a celebrated composer and a prominent figure in Vienna’s high society. This is where he composed one of his greatest operas: “The Marriage of Figaro”. If you buy an entry ticket, you’ll be immersed in the world of this musical genius – Vienna’s pride and joy.
