The Ueno Royal Museum

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Tokyo, The Phoenix City
This is the most recent museum in Ueno Park as it opened its doors in 1972, yet it’s also the only private museum in the park, managed by the Japan Art Association, which is the oldest art institution in the country. Instead of exhibiting a permanent collection, the museum focuses on presenting temporary exhibitions, often centered around a specific theme. Expect to find a diverse selection of paintings and sculptures, both contemporary and historic, from Japan, the East, and the West. It’s best to inform yourself in advance on the current exhibition for an enhanced experience in this museum!
