Townhall

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Vienne (France), The Holy City
Vienne’s townhall is located on the Francois Mitterand Square, right in the heart of the city. The city hall moved into an old private hotel in 1771, previously owned by the marquis of Rachais. The building itself was built between the 16th and 17th century. The city bought this old house at the end of the 18th century, and then transformed it into an administrative building. But fear not, most of its old and precious specificities were kept, such as its triple-style architecture, mixing Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque in just the onebuilding. Inside, you will find period rooms, including old salons with painted decorations. The François Mitterand Square reveals several buildings with different architectural styles and is often used for events and activities. You are in the heart of the city!
