The Basilica dei Frari

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Venice, At one with the “Serenissima”
The Basilica dei Frari is the second largest building in Venice, and took over 100 years to build. Its striking 70-metre-high bell tower dates back to the 14th century. The basilica’s façade is made of brick, with traces of white and pink stone – a modest, sober appearance contrasting its much richer interior. Although it’s not free, you can go inside and see several tombs of the city’s doges, as well as those of Canova and Titian, two renowned Italian artists, active centuries ago.
