Trinity Square

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Toulouse, The Pink City
Let’s take a moment to explore the beautiful Trinity Square with its lovely fountain. Built on top of the now-defunct Trinitairian convent, the square is lined with café terraces and is one of the city’s most charming spots. The fountain was designed by the Toulousian architect Urbain Vitry. It features 3 bronze winged mermaids holding a marble basin. Around it, there were cast-iron taps providing drinking water to local residents. You may also notice that the façades of the buildings are rather opulent, especially that of the Maison Lamothe, just behind the fountain. Another of Vitry’s creations! Decorated with antique statues, the entrance door was meticulously designed by the architect to strategically complement his fountain! But of course, it’s only natural to arrange things in a manner that brings out the beauty of your craftsmanship!
