You see it in the big signs, the hustle and bustle, and the statue of that crab welcoming you with open claws, you’re arriving at a popular place. This is Pier 39, the most visited pier in the city. In the same vein as Santa Monica Pier that you might know if you’re coming from Los Angeles. Here, it’s American charm at its best. You either love it or you don’t, but it’s part of the heritage. There’s a lot to do at Pier 39, you’ll find souvenir shops, rides, bars and restaurants, the Bay Aquarium, musical stairs, street artists, and more. It’s a place where you can easily stay longer then intended as it is so enjoyable. So, I’ll let you enjoy the place, the views over the bay and Alcatraz, as well as the many little things to taste. Also, you’ll notice that the city has made things easy for you and installed several small signs indicating the best photo spots!
