Before going down the beautiful Macondray Lane, I have to tell you that this is the perfect place to take pictures of the famous leaning houses ! Tip of the day, you should frame your shot so that the cars are straight, that way you will have wonderful pictures of dangerously leaning houses! Now, let’s go dive right in, by taking the charming Macondray Lane. It’s a little steep, but you should be used to it by now. This charming and flower filled path enables you to take a nature break and to admire authentic gardens and houses. This lane inspired the famous Barbary Lane from the books of Armistead Maupin and also the 90s TV show “Tales of the City”, which by the way was rebooted in 2019 . All in all, this fabulous site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places’s.
