Terrazza del Pincio

This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Rome, From the Trevi Fountain to the Vatican
We’re now on the Terrazza del Pincio, right atop the hill of the same name. From here, you have a spectacular view of the Piazza del Popolo. If you continue uphill, you’ll soon find yourself in Rome’s largest public park, that of the Villa Borghese. There, you’ll find the Galleria Borghese, home to one of the world’s greatest private art collections, that of Cardinal Scipione Borghese. Spanning 80 hectares, the park is a true haven of peace, dotted with villas, pavilions, fountains and sculptures. If you have time, it’s well worth exploring.
