Foch Gallery
This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Rodez, The Old Historic City
Next to the Royal Chapel stands the Foch Gallery. This 17th-century building was once part of the same complex, though its story took a different turn. For centuries it was integrated into the Jesuit college and later reused by the neighboring Foch High School, until in the 20th century it came close to being demolished. Saved in the 1970s and listed as a Historic Monument, it was later restored and transformed into a cultural venue. Today, the gallery regularly hosts contemporary art exhibitions—paintings, photographs, sculptures, and installations—keeping alive the spirit of learning and creativity that has long defined this district, while offering visitors a place of artistic discovery right in the heart of Rodez.
