This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Prague, A baroque city full of history

It takes some walking to reach Prague Castle, perched high above the Malá Strana district. If you’re listening to this part of the audio-guide, it means you’ve made it to the top of the seemingly endless stairs. And as you can see, it was well worth the effort. You can catch your breath as you look out onto the stunning panorama before you. Notice how, in the blink of an eye, Prague transforms from an urban city, to a greener space, then back again. In the distance, you can see the Žižkov Television Tower, inaugurated in 1992. At 216 meters high, it’s the tallest structure in the Czech capital. Just in front, you can spot the rooftops of the historic Staré Město district and the more modern Nové Město. But don’t worry—you’ll discover their iconic landmarks and attractions very soon. Look at the opposite bank of the Vltava River to see Malá Strana’s romantic atmosphere and hidden gems, such as the baroque bell tower of St. Nicholas Church. Finally, to the right, you’ll see Petřín Hill, the highest hill of the city’s, draped in a lush green canopy. So dense, that only the very top of the Petřín Tower and the Strahov Monastery manage to stand out. Whether wandering its streets, strolling along the riverbanks, or seeing its many scenic viewpoints, Prague is breathtaking from every angle.
