Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Pau, From the Bay of Biscay to the Gulf of Lion
The imposing war memorial behind the church is personified by Athena, the goddess of war and representative of victorious France. It was built in 1927 to commemorate those who fought in World War I. Other battles fought by the 18th Pau Regiment were later added. Since 2019, the monument has been completed by a circular arch bearing the names of the 1,365 people from Pau who died for France, facing the Pyrenees for eternity.
