Let’s stop by Guillaume Apollinaire’s tomb. With a name that echoed through the early 20th century, he’s still considered a major figure in literature today. Although born in Rome to a Polish father and a French mother, this poet and writer was declared a national hero by the land of human rights, in recognition of his service during the war. Many of his works are studied in schools throughout France, including his collection of poems entitled “Alcools”, or “Alcohols”, which earned him his reputation. A little further on, you can find Gaspard Ulliel’s grave, a French actor and model. He passed away in 2022 at 36 years old, from a tragic skiing accident. He left his mark on the world of cinema through many iconic films, including Hannibal Rising, Saint Laurent, and To the Ends of the World. These talented artists will never be forgotten.
