Le Spot

You’re now looking at The Spot, a building that has been home to a hybrid, alternative venue since 2013. The association bearing the same name is based here, with the aim of promoting alternative cultures. The building is home to a mix of entrepreneurial, cultural and social activities, as well as a project incubator, a coworking space and a popular canteen. There’s also a bar, a microbrewery, a skate shop and even a 150-seat concert hall, which is also used for conferences, workshops and cultural events. The ground floor hosts exhibitions, and the first floor is made up of shared offices for freelancers from a variety of sectors: painters, graphic designers, social enterprises and cultural associations. It’s a dynamic, multi-purpose space, with a friendly atmosphere and a highly symbolic street art decor. In fact, if you look closely at the façade, you’ll see a reference to the 29 July 1881 law banning illegal billposting, which was finally disregarded with the arrival of street art.
