Paillon Promenade

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Nice, Nissa la Bella
From where you stand, you may not be able to grasp this, but when viewed from above, the Paillon Promenade resembles an expansive green carpet unfurled across the city. This gigantic urban park connects the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum to the “promenade des Anglais”. It was renamed “the green flow”, as it flows down the Paillon, a stream that ran through Nice and, being quite small and not particularly useful, had already been partially covered in the 19th century. A good thousand Mediterranean and worldwide plantings, along with themed areas representing the four continents, take you on a journey to discover diverse botanical atmospheres along your promenade. The vast water mirror stretching before you offers nearly 3000 square meters of reflections and sparkles. Thanks to this immense urban redevelopment project, the old town of Nice is no longer cut off from the rest of the world, and you can admire its colorful facades from a new angle.
