Archbishop’s Garden

This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Narbonne, City of Wind and Sun
To your right, the Archbishop’s Garden is the perfect spot to pause and unwind right in the heart of the city. Enclosed by ancient walls—some dating back to Roman times, when Narbonne was known as Narbo Martius, and others from the medieval era when the city was fortified—this garden is steeped in history. Designed in the classic French formal style, it offers beautiful views of both the Archbishop’s Palace and the cathedral. A favorite among locals and visitors alike, it’s a peaceful green retreat in the middle of the historic centre—a place where history and nature come together beautifully.
