The View Along Via Dante

This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Milan, Secrets and Treasures of the Lombard Capital
Via Dante, the street you’re walking along now, links the Sforza Castle to Piazza del Duomo. It was opened in 1888 as a direct thoroughfare to the castle, no wonder it’s one of Milan’s liveliest streets. Lined with shops, cafés, and restaurants, it’s a favourite with both locals and visitors. Turn around and take in the view it offers: the castle framed in the distance, with the monument to Garibaldi in the foreground, an iconic image of the city.
