Saulcy Island

Now you’re on the other side of the waterfront. You probably didn’t realize it, but you’re on an island. Saulcy Island. This is where you’ll find the most pleasant university campus in France. Who among you has studied on a lush island, surrounded by a river and a waterfront? Nobody, that’s who! The buildings you see behind you, surrounded by beautiful gardens, belong to the University of Lorraine. It’s the main campus of the city and also the oldest, with buildings dating back to the early 20th century.
