Visit information

Recommended departure

We design our circuits in a loop format so you can easily start the tour from the nearest point to you, and the guide will automatically adjust. If you’re nearby, we recommend an ideal starting point: Place des Terreaux.

Recommended parking

Parking des Terreaux : 23 place des Terreaux

If you do not want to pay for parking in an underground garage, you can also find a park-and-ride facility a little further from the city center, for example in Vaise, where you can park for free and then take public transport to the city center. You will need a valid public transport ticket to take advantage of the free parking. Alternatively, if you prefer to park on the street, you will also need to move away from the city center to find free parking.

About your visit

To get to the Croix-Rousse plateau, you can take the metro, which will take you directly to the plateau. It’s the metro line C, direction Cuire, and you can get on it at the Hôtel de Ville. The stop you need is Croix-Rousse. However, if you take the metro, you won’t be able to see all the stages of the visit, as some of them are located on the slopes.
Our visit will take you through the traboule of the Cour des Voraces: access is free, but the entrance door may be closed, especially at night, for the safety of the building’s occupants. In any case, feel free to push the door to check. If it is closed, simply continue up Montée Saint-Sébastien to continue the rest of the itinerary.
