Grand Glass Elevator
This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Luxembourg, The Capital disguised as a village
Let’s take the new Pfaffenthal Grand Glass Elevator. It is a great way to admire the entire landscape! Inaugurated in 2017, this panoramic installation offers a breathtaking view from a height of 71 metres, while providing a convenient link between the Pescatore park in the city centre and the Pfaffenthal district at the end of the Alzette valley. Moreover, you have an unbeatable view of the old town and the European district of Kirchberg! The strange glass building you see is the Museum of Modern Art, and right in front of it is the 3 Acorns Museum! If you look closely, you’ll see that each tower is topped by a golden acorn! Housed in Fort Thüngen, the museum traces the history of Luxembourg. Now you know where to go!
