You are now standing in front of Palace theatre, one of the many theatres that make up Soho district. It is found on Shaftesbury Avenue, one of London’s main thoroughfares. Designed by Thomas Edward Collcutt, this grand theatre was originally intended to host the English Grand Opera in 1891, but only a year after it was built, it was transformed into a music hall and has since hosted musicals and worldwide famous theatrical performances such as Les Misérables, The Lady in White and Harry Potter. A unique feature of this theater is its dedication to decorating its entrance, adapting it to each new production! The Palace Theatre is located on Cambridge Circus, at the intersection of Shaftesbury Avenue and Charing Cross Road, in what is known as London’s West End, renowned for hosting most of the major theaters. Here, comedy and tragedy lovers will surely find something to their liking!
