The Cavern Club

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Liverpool, The world in one city
This is the famous Cavern Club. You probably know that this is where the Beatles made their official debut after warming up on the stages of Hamburg. It was in this small venue that their producer, Brian Epstein, discovered them. From then on, they had their hands full! In just three years, between 1961 and 1963, they performed at the Cavern 292 times!! During its heyday, the Cavern also hosted other legendary bands such as the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Queen, The Who, and even Pink Floyd. Don’t you just wish you were living in Liverpool and hanging out at the Cavern during that era? Unfortunately, the original building was demolished in 1973, but the show must go on, right? The Cavern was rebuilt on the same site, using the same stones whenever possible. A host of international stars have since performed at the club, keeping the Cavern’s legendary flame burning. Some of them include Oasis, Jake Bugg and the Arctic Monkeys. If you want to catch a gig, it’s easy: there are live sessions every night in this cave, literally filled with good vibes. Nowadays, the Cavern Club is divided into two parts. You’ll find a vaulted room, which is a reconstruction of the Beatles’stage, which mainly hosts artists covering their songs, and a larger, more modern room featuring bands of all styles and backgrounds. It’s an ideal place to discover Liverpool’s legendary nightlife.
