Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Liverpool, The world in one city

Saint George’s Hall is an impressive sight. It is a sort of icing on the cake, in his district considered to be the soul of the city, as it is packed with museums, art galleries, concert halls, theatres and magnificent gardens. A large part of it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Saint George’s Hall, which you see in front of you, was built in the 1850s and is clearly the most important building in the district, both for its size and for its grandiose architecture. However, behind its impeccable style and undeniable neoclassical class, the hall is actually a former courtroom that housed prisoners. Nowadays, St George’s Hall is a museum open to the public, where you can learn all about the history of the building, enter former prisoners’ cells, as well as discover high-quality exhibitions and a wide range of shows. Entrance is free. So if you’re tempted to peek behind this ostentatious facade, don’t hesitate any longer!
