You’re now standing in front of the Rossio Railway Station, connecting Lisbon to Sintra, via the Queluz National Park. What makes it so special is its stunning architecture in the Manueline style and the ornate details of its façade. Its horseshoe-shaped entrances are yet another sight to behold. The exuberant façade is adorned with numerous decorative motifs, reminiscent of the Belém tower. The station was built between 1888 and 1890 by architect José Luis Monteiro, and was the city’s main railway station until the mid-20th century.
