This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Krakow, The Jewish Quarter

You’re now on the remarkable Father Bernatek Footbridge, built in 2010 to connect the districts of Kazimierz and Podgórze. The bridge is named after Father Laetus Bernatek, a monk renowned for his service to the community, especially for building hospitals. What catches most peoples eyes are the bronze acrobats gracefully balancing in the wind. These poetic figures are the work of sculptor Jerzy Kędziora and were meant to be a temporary installation. However, the locals loved them so much, that they campaigned to make the artwork permanent. Thank goodness they did—because this might be one of the most original sights you’ll see today!
