Founded in 1838, this landmark is known for its iconic neo-Baroque style and stunning façade adorned with four white marble statues representing Theatre, Kindness, Music, and Education. From the very beginning, it’s been one of the largest and most luxurious theatres in the Americas. Its stage has welcomed countless legends of the performing arts, including the celebrated Cuban ballerina Alicia Alonso. She played a key role in taking the Cuban National Ballet to the world’s most prestigious stages. Renowned for its exceptional acoustics, the Grand Theatre is a thriving cultural complex, with spaces dedicated to concerts, performances, film screenings, and conferences.
