Lena, Nestor, and Luna

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Gand, Flanders’ best-kept secret
If Brussels is known for its famous Manneken Pis, Ghent can do one better—with not just one, but four of them! Look above the entrance to the restaurant Nestor, and you’ll spot three tiny statues—completely naked. The one in the center, also the oldest, is the famous Manneken Pis Nestor. On either side of him are two Meisjes Pis—or “girls who pee”. They were added in 2014 for the 10th anniversary of a local association. Named Lena and Luna, these playful little figures were sculpted by a Belgian artist and inspired by real twin sisters from Ghent. The fourth sculpture is a little further up the quay, near the House of Alijn museum.
