Viewpoint from Ponte alle Grazie

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Florence, A world of art
The Ponte alle Grazie was built in 1237 over the Arno River, which spans 240km across Tuscany. The bridge was named after the magistrate who governed Florence at the time. Back then, it resembled the Ponte Vecchio, with small wooden houses on its arches, serving as shops and chapels. Like most of Florence’s bridges, it was destroyed in 1944 by the Germans, and rebuilt after the war. This time, it became a five-arch bridge, connecting both sides of the city. Today, you can stand on it to get a gorgeous view of the Ponte Vecchio, just to your right!
