On your right, you’ll find one of Florence’s most beautiful examples of Baroque architecture: the Church of Saint Michele and Gaetano. Originally designed by Bernado Buontalenti, several Italian architects were tasked with its construction from 1604 to 1648. Its unique façade differs from other Florentine churches, but highlights the city’s elegant baroque architecture. Before its reconstruction, the church was dedicated to Saint Michele the Archangel.
