Al Zarooni Mosque

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Dubaï, The Old Town
As you’ve probably already noticed, mosques are an integral part of Dubai’s landscape. They reflect the dominant religion in the United Arab Emirates, which is Islam. Mosques are easily recognizable by their typical structure, usually composed of the main prayer hall, a minaret, and domes. They’re divided into two separate areas—one for women and one for men—and proper attire is required to enter. However, most mosques are closed to non-Muslims, and the one you see in front of you makes no exception. That said, its stunning white exterior and elegant decoration are still worth admiring, especially with its two towering minarets that always call the faithful to prayer. In Islam, Friday is considered the holy day, and almost all shops are closed for most of the day to allow time for the main prayer.
