Jesuit Chapel

This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Dole, The birthplace of Louis Pasteur
Check out the façade of the Jesuit Chapel of Dole. It is part of the Collège de l’Arc, which was a complex of educational institutions housed in buildings long occupied by the Jesuits. The chapel was built in the early 17th century, in1604, by Hugues le Rupt, a well-known local Renaissance artist. The magnificent, multicolored sculpted decorations adorning the chapel’s porch make it a truly one-of-a-kind building in Dole’s old town. Today, it hosts temporary exhibitions.
