Cordeliers square

This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Dijon, Capital of Burgundy
Turn left and you’ll see Cordeliers Square, with its typical Burgundian glazed roofs. The magnificent building in front of you is the Gauthier mansion, built around 1642. The building to its left, adorned with a large red portal, is also a mansion, known as Rigoley de Chevigny, built between the 17th and 18th centuries. Both are listed Historic Monuments and are remarkable remnants of the rich Burgundian residences of the time. The recently renovated Cordeliers square reveals an important part of Dijon’s historic past.
