Galeria Bond Street

It was built in 1963 as a high-end shopping arcade right at the heart of Barrio Norte. However, as time passed and the country’s economy struggled, many shops began to close, leaving the gallery somewhat abandoned. You see, it had lost its upscale appeal. Then, in the 1990s, Joaquin Amat, an architect with a passion for rock music, and Jorge Pistocchi, a rock music producer, gave the gallery a new lease of life. They transformed it into this vibrant hub with independent shops, record stores, skate shops and street art on every wall and ceiling. Today, the Bond Street Gallery is a must-see for every visitor to the city! It’s the birthplace of tattoo culture in Argentina and home to some of the country’s best tattoo artists.
