Garden of the Archdiocese

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Bourges, To brave hearts, nothing is impossible
Welcome to the Garden of the Archdiocese, a Bourges favorite! Nestled at the heart of the historic center, this tranquil spot is perfect for unwinding. Tourists relax under the shady trees and students hangout or have picnics on sunny summer days. We owe this French Formal Garden to gardener Coudreau, who took on the project in 1731. It was no easy feat, but he pulled it off! As you make your way through the park, you’ll come across a fountain, a century-old bandstand, and an open-air bar area. Further on, you’ll find the French formal garden, with its magnificent flowerbeds reminiscent of those at the Palace of Versailles.
