This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Bayonne, Off to explore the Basque Country
Welcome to the Léon Bonnat Public Garden, named after the local painter who created over 200 portraits of famous people like Victor Hugo, Louis Pasteur and Jules Ferry. It’s just a stone’s throw from the Adour River and it’s the perfect spot for a leisurely family stroll right in the heart of Bayonne. You’ll find two different kinds of gardens here: a formal French garden full of flowers and an English-style garden that we’ll be visiting right after. Here’s your chance to unwind and escape the city’s hustle and bustle!
