Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Auckland, The City of Sails
This beautiful building, in the corner of Albert Park, is the largest art museum in New Zealand. Founded in 1887, it houses a vast collection of paintings, including several portraits of Māori dignitaries created by the renowned New Zealand painter, Charles Frederick Goldie. These portraits earned Goldie great recognition. The gallery explores New Zealand’s culture through artworks collected throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Be sure to visit and immerse yourself in the world of the Māori, the first people on the archipelago. All of this is found in a stunning Renaissance-style building that extends across the street.
