Promenade Amiral de Grasse

Ce point d’intérêt est disponible en audio dans le circuit: Visit Antibes, Let’s head to the French Riviera
There’s nothing like a stroll along the Mediterranean Sea to complete your visit to Antibes! The Promenade Amiral de Grasse offers stunning views and a peaceful walk just steps from the town center. It runs alongside the 17th-century ramparts, restored by the famous architect Vauban to protect the city. Antibes was first surrounded by fortified walls at the end of the 16th century, ordered by King Henry IV after repeated invasions in the region. A century later, Vauban reinforced those defenses and also took care of maintaining the port. These ramparts are so well preserved that the old town of Antibes is still seen as a true citadel. Today, they offer the perfect setting for a seaside walk that will lead you straight to Gravette Beach and the harbor.
