This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Antibes, Let’s head to the French Riviera
You’ve just arrived at one of the nicest squares in downtown Antibes! Surrounded by shops, bars, and restaurants, Place des Martyrs de la Résistance is a popular meeting spot for locals. People come here to grab a drink, enjoy regional specialties, or go shopping in the nearby streets.
The square is especially lively in summer, when café terraces spill out into this large open space. Recently renovated, it now features a monument made of three blocks of Carrara marble, honoring the resistance fighters of World War II.
