Top 7 theme parks in France

What are the 7 best theme parks in France?

1. Dysneyland

At the top of our list is the famous Disneyland theme park, located in Marne-la-Vallée in Seine-et-Marne, Paris. We owe it a debt of gratitude, as it is thanks to Disneyland that one of the greatest sagas of all time was born: ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. From 1992 onwards, the attraction offered visitors the chance to immerse themselves in a world of pirates and forbardians, and a few years later it provided the idea for the films themselves. Discover the world of different Disney films in this park, with its restaurants, shops, parades… A fairytale setting that will enchant your little ones, and make you fall back into the arms of childhood for a few hours.

Sleeping Beauty’s castle, Aladdin’s Enchanted Passage, Indiana Jones and the Time of Peril… There’s something for all ages and tastes…

4. Le Puy du Fou

Looking for a thrill? Experience a timeless journey in a magical place that will take you through different civilisations. Every animation you make and every show you are lucky enough to attend is a story inspired by History and the legends that accompany it. Every year, it welcomes thousands of visitors, friends, families, history buffs and stuntmen who come to revel in this wealth… Its favourite attraction? Everyone will agree on the Cinéscénie. A huge fresco on a stage covering more than 23 hectares which, among other things, tells the story from the Middle Ages in 476 to the early 1950s, just after the Second World War.

In 2019, it was voted best theme park in the world by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, and in 2020 it was voted “Best French Attraction Site” at the Remarkable Venue Awards. Every year, it welcomes thousands of visitors, friends, families, history buffs, stuntmen and so on. 5. The Little Prince Park

Just 20 minutes’ drive from Mulhouse, the Parc du Petit Prince, based on the well-known book by Saint-Exupéry, is a gentle park that families and especially children will love. Discover 24 hectares of nature with a total of 34 attractions and activities. With its lush greenery and animals everywhere, this enchanted place captures and conveys all the magic and fantasy of the novel on which it is based. Take a trip to the 4D cinema, do a few jumps in the indoor trampoline park, and you’ll feel as if you’re at the same height as the captive balloon, whose flights easily reach 150 metres.

The strength of Saint-Exupéry’s novel is undoubtedly its great imagination, but also the presence of animals. As we all know, for a tale or story to be a hit with the little ones, you have to include animals – children love animals! Throughout your visit to the park, they’ll be delighted to discover the stories of foxes, carrier pigeons and sheep. There’ll be plenty of new encounters and adventures on the programme!

6. The Sea of Sand

It takes just over an hour from Paris to get to La Mer de Sable, in the Ermenoville forest. A veritable playground, it offers several worlds to explore: starting with the conquest of the West in the Valley of the Mississi’ptits (nice pun); the crossing of the Colorado Canyon; and that of New Mexico. It’s also a great place for horse-riding fans and those fascinated by the history of Native Americans on American soil: shows featuring Native Americans on horseback are performed every week, with special effects and stunts enhanced by a few aerobatics pirouettes performed by professional stuntmen.

You can overcome your fear of heights on the bridge suspended between the trees, or take a ride on the 15-metre-high Silver Mountain. Your child will also be delighted to try out a pony ride in cowboy mode… so there’s plenty of adventurous fun to be had!
