The most beautiful beaches around Antibes
Pebble beaches, sandy beaches or small coves, larger or smaller beaches, well-equipped or wilder, you’ll find it all around Antibes.
Here’s a short guide to help you make your choice, so all you have to do is grab your towel and sun cream for a moment of pure relaxation on a beach near Antibes!
Pebble beaches around Antibes
In the eastern part of the town, from the Brague district to the Fort Carré, the beaches are covered exclusively in pebbles. If you’re not used to pebbles, it’s best to bring a pair of beach shoes so you don’t hurt yourself or look totally disjointed trying to reach the water!
Another special feature is that the water is particularly deep and therefore cooler, so be careful if you go to these beaches with children who don’t know how to swim, or who don’t know how to swim very well, as they will quickly lose their footing.
You’ll also find a number of amenities on these beaches, such as ‘on the go’ food outlets, which are a great help when it’s very hot and you don’t necessarily want to be lugging around a cool box!

Nearby, you’ll find the Picasso Museum in the listed Château Grimaldi in the centre of old Antibes.

The creeks of Cap d’Antibes
The small, more or less wild beaches have their own charm: more privacy, a feeling of being alone and quiet in front of the sea, a secret spot to discover the seabed with a mask and snorkel…
But they are not supervised, so it’s important to be well informed about the weather and the swell, and to keep an eye on the little ones at all times!
1 – Criques du Bacon
This is not a beach in the strict sense of the word; it’s a cove with rocks that are quite difficult to access. We strongly advise against swimming in heavy weather, as it is very dangerous.
2 – Plage Argent Faux
This relatively small cove has the advantage of a pontoon and steps down to the sea. What’s more, the views are stunning.
The beaches of Cap d’Antibes
A quieter area, unspoilt nature, a prestigious site where luxury and nature come together – that’s how you could define Cap d’Antibes Juan les Pins.
1 – Bacon beach
-
On the plus side: the little cove is reached by a staircase and offers a superb view of the town’s ramparts.
-
Negative point: parking is complicated and the beach is made up of pebbles, not sand.
2 – Plage de la Garoupe
An idyllic bay with turquoise waters, a beach of sand and small pebbles with showers, toilets, parking and water sports. The beach is supervised.
3 – Eilen Roc Beach
A beach of pebbles and rocks, with an absolutely superb panorama.
4 – Baie Milliardaires Beach
A pebble beach whose natural environment is sure to captivate you.
5 – Pointe Ouest Beach
This narrow beach of pebbles and rocks is ideal for diving. There is a car park opposite the hairpin bend in the road.
6 – Plage de l’Olivette
A tiny pebble beach with a small wooden pontoon.
7 – Les Ondes and Port Mallet beach
This sandy beach has a charm all of its own, with its little underwater turret next to a pretty little harbour. The panoramic view of the Estérel and the Lérins islands adds a touch of romance… A beach that is very popular with swimmers, walkers and mountain bikers in the summer months.
Antibes Juan les Pins is a choice destination when it comes to beaches on the Côte d’Azur, and this seaside resort has it all! The renowned Baie des Anges stretches between Cap d’Antibes and Nice. And don’t forget that although the public beaches are sometimes victims of their own success, you can also access private beaches along the seafront promenade for a fee: Ponton Courbet, Promenade du Soleil, Casino, Pinède and at Cap d’Antibes: on Plage de la Garoupe such as Plage Keller. Sunbathing, paddle-boarding, pedal-boating, windsurfing and water-skiing are all on offer.
