View Over the City

This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Granada, Capital of the Nasrid Kingdom
As you walk along the Paseo de los Mártires, a lovely view opens up on your left. You’re now on the hill of the Alhambra, with a scenic outlook over the rooftops of Granada and the surrounding mountains.
Below you is a museum dedicated to Manuel de Falla, a renowned Spanish composer who is especially celebrated here in Granada, where he lived for part of his life. A gifted artist, he travelled widely and met some of the most significant composers of his time, including the great Claude Debussy.
De Falla is one of Spain’s most influential musical figures, and a true symbol of Spanish identity in the 20th century. His work, deeply rooted in Spanish tradition, is still widely performed and admired around the world.
The museum you see nestled on the slopes of the Alhambra hill is actually the house he lived in during his time in Granada!
