Pak Khlong Talat

This point of interest is available as audio on the tour: Visit Bangkok, A spiritual reawakening and more…
Buddhist temples aren’t the only colourful part of Bangkok. The city is full of beautiful flower markets, with delightful smells! The largest of them — and in fact, the biggest in the entire country — is Pak Khlong Talat. It originally began as five separate markets selling various goods, which eventually merged into one.The market is a floral treasure trove, overflowing with tropical plants and flowers such as orchids, jasmines, hibiscuses, roses, and lotuses. This impressive selection makes the market a favourite among local vendors, hotels, and restaurants looking for stunning decor. Although Pak Khlong Talat is open 24 hours a day, it’s most magical between 3 and 4 in the morning when deliveries arrive from the countryside, beginning the day’s lively trade.
